CMTA, C&I top this year's engineering list – Louisville Business First – The Business Journals

The companies that make up our annual engineering firms list help shape projects around the country.
The list was published on Friday and includes 25 engineering firms. Locally, some of the firms have been the engineer for the Louisville City Football Club’s new Lynn Family Stadium, performed floodplain mapping for the Louisville-Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District and helped on studies for roadway design.
The full list is available only for subscribers, but the attached gallery gives all readers the chance to read about the top five on the list. We rank the list by the number of individuals that are licensed (Kentucky or Indiana) to practice professional engineering locally.
As you look through the slides, you’ll see that there is a company that jumped to the No. 1 spot on the list this year. That firm also acquired Engineered Solutions Inc., based in Natick, Mass., a suburb of Boston, last year. Speaking of acquisitions, the other list we published this week is of mergers and acquisitions that have ties to Louisville. Twenty-one transactions are included on that list and it’s linked below..
We’ll have lists on downtown living and commercial real estate transactions in 2019 on Feb. 7; and accounting firms and flight destinations from Louisville after that.
