A variety of publications provide information about different careers in engineering, the potential for future hiring in these career areas, and the availability of graduate studies in the various disciplines associated with engineering.
The following resources provide helpful information about careers in engineering.

The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, also known as the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam, is a statewide examination that is the first step in professional licensure for engineers. Most civil engineering majors take the exam prior to graduation, usually during their junior year.
Student may apply to take the examination through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying®(opens in new window).

We acknowledge and are mindful that Chico State stands on lands that were originally occupied by the first people of this area, Mechoopda, and we recognize their distinctive spiritual relationship with this land, the flora, the fauna, and the waters that run through campus. We are humbled that our campus resides upon sacred lands that since time immemorial have sustained the Mechoopda people and continue to do so today.
