2021-22 — Cross Country: Competed in just the first two meets of his fourth season at Cal Poly, missing final three meets due to injury … Mustangs’ top finisher with second-place finish in season-opening Stump Invitational, timed in 23:09.6 for 8,000 meters … also placed 58th in Dellinger Invitational. Track & Field: Placed second in the 5,000 (14:29.62) and 10,000 (30:52.35) at the Big West Conference Championships to earn All-Conference honors for the fourth time … qualified for the NCAA West Preliminaries in the 10,000 for the second straight year, placing 22nd (29:18.72) … ran a PR of 28:55.83 in the 10,000, fourth fastest in school history, at the Stanford Invitational to place fifth … named Cal Poly Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second time. 

2020-21 — Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Track and Field: Placed third in 10,000 (32:09.21) and fourth in 5,000 (14:16.85) to help Cal Poly to second-place team finish in Big West Conference Championships … qualified for NCAA West Regional in College Station, Texas, placing 38th in 10,000 (30:43.35) … established new personal-best times in three events earlier in season– fourth in 10,000 (29:01.61) at South Running College Invitational, fifth in 1,500 (3:51.05) at Fresno State Invitational and 18th in 5,000 (13:58.91) at West Coast Relays … earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes as well as Big West Conference All-Academic honors.

2019-20 — Cross Country: Won his second consecutive Big West Athlete of the Year award, becoming the ninth individual since 1979 to be selected for the yearly accolade two times in a row … at the conference championships on Nov. 2, beat the rest of the field by more than 42 seconds to go back-to-back as Big West medalist, clocking a performance of 23:43.7, good for No. 9 in UCR course history for an 8k format … with the active four-peat of men’s team conference trophies, Cal Poly became the third squad in 51 years to win at least four Big West XC championships in a row … in February, was selected as one of four recipients for the Annual Achievement Award in the collegiate category at the Sacramento Running Association’s 2020 Hall of Fame banquet; as the SRA’s Men’s College Cross Country winner, received his honor at Holiday Inn Arena in Sacramento … in March, was announced as the Mustangs’ Big West Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, alongside 16 fellow recipients representing eight peer universities (chosen from a total of nearly 2,500 student-athletes) … earlier in the fall, was also selected for conference weekly honors stemming from a victory at the Capital Challenge in Sacramento (via 24:04.1 Sept. 28) … took 29th place at the NCAA West Regional Championship on Nov. 15 northwest of Pullman, leading Cal Poly to 10th place in the 10K event around Washington State’s Colfax Golf Complex; clocked a time of 30:18.7. Track: Spring 2020 season was canceled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward … meanwhile, earned Conference Commissioner’s Honors academically again.

2018-19 — Track: Followed-up his conference title-winning fall by almost winning another Big West championship in the springtime, as he came in second place for the 10,000 meters at UC Santa Barbara on May 10, with a time of 30:49.87 — just 65-hundredths of a second back of first … in addition to his all-conference plaque on the opening night, returned to Pauley Track the next day for the 5,000-meter finals, earning fourth place in 14:41.53, finishing the meet having tallied 13 total points for the Mustangs … recorded a career-best 5,000m performance of 14:12.98 at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 18, taking ninth place at Azusa Pacific … made the Big West All-Academic Team for a second season in a row. Cross Country: Selected for the Big West Athlete of the Year Award … won the individual conference title on Oct. 27 in Brea, claiming the 8k crown in 24:27.5 at Carbon Canyon Park … led wire-to-wire to win by 11.6 seconds; in the process, set the tone for a 37-point team win at the Finals, thanks to a score of 32 which saw the Mustangs lift the trophy … advanced in the postseason to the NCAA Western Championships, upping the mileage to a 10k on Nov. 9 in Sacramento … competing against the Pac-12, Mountain West, WCC, WAC and Big Sky, came in 52nd place (via 30:39.9) at regionals, hosted by Haggin Oaks Golf Course … chosen as Cal Poly’s overall Coca-Cola Student-Athlete of the Week on Oct. 29 … during the regular season, also had team-best performances at Cal State Fullerton’s Covert Classic on Sept. 1 (in 24:51.4 — good for fourth place) and the UCSB Lagoon Open (via 25:02.1, securing third place on Sept. 15) … also took 17th at the Stanford Invite (at 24:40.2 on Sept. 29) and 88th at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals (24:57.3 in Madison Oct. 13) … additionally, earned Big West All-Academic Team honors.

2017-18 — Track: Was just one spot back of making the All-Conference Team in his true freshman season, taking fourth place at the Big West Championships for the 10,000 meters, with a time of 34:00.21 at CSUN on May 11 … also came in 12th place at the conference finals for the 5,000m, clocking a performance of 14:55.12 May 12 … season-best 5,000 during his debut spring came at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 20: 14:37.52, good for 18th place … additional bests included 3:53.40 in the 1,500m as well as 8:35.40 in the 3,000m. Cross Country: Competing on an unattached basis at UCSB’s Lagoon Open on Sept. 2, began the fall taking fourth place overall, with an 8k performance of 25:27.20 … made scoring debut as a true freshman for the Mustangs at Oregon’s Dellinger Invitational on Sept. 29, finishing 71st at the Pac-12 course, with a time of 24:48.8 … academically, earned Big West Conference Commissioner’s Highest Honors.

Prep — As a senior at Granite Bay High School, finished seventh at the 2016 CIF Division 2 State Cross Country Championships, with a 5k time of 15:27.3 — after winning the Sac-Joaquin Section crown in 15:49.2 … added an eighth-place finish at the 2016 Stanford Invitational, in 15:02.9 … as a junior in track season, took fourth in the 3,200 meters at the sectional Masters Meet with a performance of 9:21.68 … in 2017, finished ninth in the 1,600m at the Sacramento Meet of Champions, at 4:15.96 … also earned the Grizzlies’ Junior and Senior Academic Merit Award, the State Seal of Biliteracy and an IB Career Diploma.

Personal — Also visited Cal, Portland and Lipscomb; chose Cal Poly because of the “great area, and great academic & athletic environment” … majoring in civil engineering, and aspires to build structures to help others, such as bridges and roads … completed an internship with AECOM, a civil engineering design firm, and also helps coordinate team activities and giving through Block P.
